Programming the key fob

- Enter in your jeep car and close the doors and the trunk.
- Place the key in the ignition part and make sure it is in the “Off” position.
- Open the driver’s seat door and leave it ajar.
- While the door is open, move the switch on it to “Lock”.
- Switch the key in the ignition part to the “On” position.
- For five seconds, press the “Lock” button on your key fob.
- Now release the “lock” button on the key fob and remove the key from the ignition part. Check if the programming is successful.

Can I program a new key fob by myself?

Can I reset the key fob?
Yes, you can. Directly, perform these steps :
- Get in your car and leave the door open.
- Press the “lock” button on the door and insert the key into the ignition.
- Switch the key into the “run” position, then aim the key fob at the steering wheel. Press and hold the ”lock” button for about five seconds.
- Wait for the locks to respond. Then program the remote by holding the “Lock” button until the lock responds.
- Shift the key in the ignition back to the ‘off position and then quickly to “run” during the last programming of your remote.
- Turn the car off and remove the key from the ignition.
Note: Check the strength of your battery constantly. These are some of the signs that your battery is slowly dying:
- The key fob does not work consistently and effectively as it used to before.
- It needs multiple clicks to unlock the car’s door
- It cannot work on long ranges.
